Positions Available at our Highland, Michigan Location, U.S.A.
Manufacturing Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain product tester systems for motion control and pneumatics products. Design qualifying test circuits and in-house equipment; specify lab quality components, data acquisition systems and electrical components to assemble final test stands; improve and upgrade current test stands. Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements. Provide administrative and technological guidance. Interact with management explaining development process, responding to questions, comments and unanticipated engineering anomalies. Use of AutoCAD.
Requirements:
Master in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field. Plus 1 year in the job offered or 1 year in a related occupation including Electrical Engineer; Test Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Engineer or related experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements above. 40 hrs./week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Commodity Manager
Numatics Inc. is looking for an experienced individual to function as a Commodity Manager.
Requirements:
- Prior Project management experience preferred in a purchasing or procurement environment.
- Experience with purchasing raw materials such as plastics, steel, machine parts etc.
- Heavy customer or supplier contact.
- Must be able to understand and review potential suppliers for standardization of processes and/or procedures.
- This is a strategic role, no purchasing or writing PO's are part of the general job description. However, this person must have some understanding or knowledge of this function.
- Must be able to summarize a potential customer/supplier processes and compile the information for reporting back to Numatics Management.
- Must be able to make recommendations, decisions and support all decisions with appropriate documentation for management review.
- Good understanding of ISO/QS requirements preferred.
- Some travel required.
- Ability to read technical blue prints, mechanical aptitude, proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent Negotiation Skills.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Strong Analytical and Data Management Skills.
- Track and Understand market drivers and industry capabilities to aid decision making and design for sourcing.
- BA in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA a plus).
- 2-5 yrs of experience in a manufacturing/ plant environment.
